Centre for Research Excellence in Ear and Hearing Health (CRE_ICHEAR) Small Grants Program
The CRE_ICHEAR is a national research collaboration that brings together leading researchers and Indigenous health care providers from around Australia to improve ear and hearing health of Indigenous children. The CRE_ICHEAR is dedicated to high quality innovative research, promoting Indigenous leadership, and effective and sustainable research translation. The CRE_ICHEAR is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) from 2014-2019. The CRE_ICHEAR aims to inform Australian policy and practice to reduce social and educational disadvantage linked to childhood ear disease and hearing loss.
Funding for Small Grants is set at maximum $1000 per applicant. Grants are awarded on a one-off basis only. There is a limited number of grants available for OMOZ 2018 and submission does not guarantee acceptance.
Priority will be given in the following order to:
Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying or working in the field of ear and hearing health
Professional development of students, health workers and researchers in the field of ear and hearing health of Indigenous children
Applicants who demonstrate commitment to working in the field of ear and hearing health, particularly of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children

Applications are now open and are due by 9 April 2018. Applicants will be notified by 30 April 2018.
Conditions of Grants
Applicants must accept Grants by purchasing OMOZ registration within two weeks of acceptance. OMOZ registration invoice must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org as proof of purchase.
